The bathroom, the burst main, and the extra nobody wrote down
Walkflow is the walkthrough app plumbers use when a bathroom or a burst main needs a record, not a camera roll. You walk the job and talk through what you see. Walkflow drafts a variation record, a materials takeoff, and a defect list, each line tied to the photo or the moment you said it.
What gets lost between the van and the desk
A plumber already explains the job out loud. The stopcock, the old copper, the tile the client wants kept, the extra toilet in the garage. That explanation usually lands as a voice note or a string of photos. By the time you are pricing the materials, the order of the walk is gone.
The fight later is rarely about the pipe. It is about the extra that was discussed in the hallway and never written down.
What to record
Walk the wet area, the routes, and the plant. Say what is in the job and what is not. Snapshot the leak, the access, and the existing fixtures the client wants to keep. If they ask for something that was not in the original scope, say that out loud.
Walkflow drafts three documents from that walk:
- A variation record for the extra they asked for
- A materials takeoff of what you named, for the trade counter
- A defect list from the captioned snapshots
You edit each draft before it goes out. It is not a finished invoice.
One link, not a thread
Send the walkthrough and the documents you picked in one link. There is no client login. You can see when the link was opened. For how that link works, read how to send a client a video walkthrough.
If the habit you are replacing is voice notes and photo texts, see Walkflow vs voice notes and photo texts. If the risk is a disputed extra, read when someone says they never agreed to that, and copy the variation record template when you want a blank first.
