The bathroom quote items, written while you are still in the room
A bathroom reno goes wrong when the inclusions were never written down. Walkflow turns the walkthrough into quote items: the labour and materials you talked through on site, as lines you edit before they go out. Each line links to the photo or the moment you said it, so there is no dispute as to what was discussed.
Want the blank first? Copy the quote items template, with a filled-in example and the mistakes to avoid.
What the bathroom conversation usually drops
You talk through the vanity, the mixer, who's supplying the basin, whether the ceiling is in, and the tiles the client wants to keep. Some of that is in the original scope. Some of it is new. A photo of the bathroom does not say which.
The lines get written at the desk, from memory, and the waterproofing becomes a single word.
What to record
Walk the room in the order a client can follow: in the door, wet area, fixtures, access. You could say something like:
- What stays and what goes
- Projected labour you are including (if it's an estimate, state this)
- Materials you named
- What they will supply
- What is out of this list
Walkflow drafts quote items from that talk. There is no letterhead and no total. You add those in your own process after you have checked the lines.
A scope of work can sit beside this as an additional job document if you also need to say what the job is. Plumbers do this on almost every bathroom. See the site walkthrough app for plumbers.
One link for the lines
Send the walkthrough and the quote items together. No client login. The pattern is in how to send a client a video walkthrough. ServiceM8 can still hold the job and the invoice; the walk is what Walkflow is for, which is the split in Walkflow vs ServiceM8.
